A Heartfelt Farewell: Remembering Sheila Elliott
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Elliott (née Hanna) from Clonoe, who departed this life on January 9, 2026. Her loss has left a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her.
Sheila was a deeply cherished mother to her children: Laura (partner Ronan), Aaron (partner Amanda), Shea, Ciaran, and James. Additionally, she was a beloved grandmother to her precious grandson, Oisín, who will miss her dearly.
As the devoted daughter of Eddie and Teresa Hanna, Sheila held a special place in her family. She was also a treasured sister to Maeve, Eamonn (partner Caoimhe), Bronagh (partner Dermot), Theresa, Kathryn (partner Michael), and David (partner Sinead). Her siblings and their families carry heavy hearts as they remember her warm spirit.
In honoring her memory, Sheila will be welcomed for visitation at Patsy Taggart’s Funeral Home, located at 4a Western Business Park, Coalisland, BT71 4ND. Family and friends can pay their respects from 6 PM to 9 PM on Saturday and again from 12 noon to 9 PM on Sunday.
The following day, Sheila's journey will continue with a removal to St. Patrick’s Church in Clonoe for an 11 AM Requiem Mass, followed by her interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Her absence will be profoundly felt by her sorrowful sons, daughter, and grandson, as well as her parents, siblings, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and the extended Hanna and Elliott family circle, along with many friends who were touched by her kindness.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus grant her eternal rest.
